The new release of BCC_ClientGenie 5.5 has arrived!

BCC_ClientGenie 5.5 release is now available from our website! This new release was recently presented at Lotusphere in Orlando, Florida and contains an impressive set of new features and fully supports IBM Lotus Notes 8.5.2 for both single- and multi-user installations.

The dynamic control and execution of all configuration documents is enhanced through the usage of a comprehensive set of rules. The newly available types of rules are:
    • Free storage space
    • Client-type
    • Windows / Notes-version
    • Time and date control
    • Server- / file availability
    • Query of Notes.ini or Windows- system variables
    • Free defined rules in IBM Lotus Notes @-Formula language
To improve helpdesk support, certain actions can now be executed at specified times. These actions include the execution of file-operations (copy, delete, move, pack, unpack), the execution of free defined IBM Lotus Notes @-formulas and the administration of databases and documents. Many additional functions, like the display of notifications, the export of certificates, the editing of notes.ini variables and the targeted shutdown of Lotus Notes, make typical support tasks easier when using BCC_ClientGenie.

This version also contains multiple predefined action-templates, which are premade for numerous use-cases. These action-templates improve the daily workflow by providing practical and powerful actions that can be immediately applied.

For an enhanced protection of the client, BCC_ClientGenie uses Live Control, which prevents unwanted access to servers and databases and if necessary, redirects access to another server or database. Certain database operations (e.g. deletion, creation or opening of a database) can also be prevented.

SmartRepair, developed by BCC, provides additional client protection. SmartRepair makes an automatic correction of any undesired or unwanted configuration changes made by the user and then launches an automatic recovery of the deleted and moved objects. For actions made unintentionally, a predefined standard-configuration with user specific elements can be restored and local server replicas can be recovered.

We hope you enjoy the new BCC_ClientGenie 5.5!
